James Iha, antiguo miembro de Smashing Pumpkis, tocó como DJ hace dos días en el Beauty Bar en Denver. Iha le contó a Westword, «Me gusta tocar música dance y aquello que haga una fiesta entretenida. Nunca he hecho música dance hasta ahora, así que (hacer conciertos como DJ) es una buena forma de introducirme en lo que está pasando a nivel indie. No música dance al máximo nivel de popularidad, a falta de un término mejor, pero sí música dance indie y rock».

Former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha will perform as a DJ tonight at Beauty Bar in Denver. Iha told Westword, “I like to play dance music and what makes a club or a party excited. I have never really done much dance music before, so [doing DJ gigs has been] a good introduction to what is happening on an indie level. Not top ten dance music but, for lack of a better term, indie club dance stuff and rock.”

Montage of Heck es un documental autorizado sobre el cantante de Nirvana, Kurt Cobain. Frances Bean Cobain, la hija que Cobain tuvo junto a Courtney Love, es la productor ejecutiva de la película. Saldrá al aire el 4 de mayo a través de la HBO y se estrenó la pasada noche en el Festival de cine Sundance. Mientras que la película muestra entrevistas con la mayoría de personas que esperas que aparezcan (Love, su familia, Krist Novoselic) Dave Grohl no aparece por ningún lado, cuenta Billboard. Como el director dijo en la premiere, puede que eso sea un caso de futura edición de la película.

Montage of Heck is an authorized documentary about Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain. Frances Bean Cobain, Cobain’s daughter with Courtney Love, is an executive producer of the film. It airs May 4 on HBO and premiered last night at Sundance Film Festival. While the film features interviews with most of the people you’d expect (Love, his parents, Krist Novoselic), Dave Grohl was notably absent, Billboard reports. As the director explained at the premiere, that may not be the case for future edits of the film.
Director Brett Morgen clarified that Grohl was interviewed for the documentary earlier this month, but it happened too late to make the cut on the version of the film that premiered at Sundance. «We had a locked print and trying to re-edit a film with a new interview in 10 days is kind of difficult,» he said at the premiere. «This is the picture I wanted—I didn’t want there to be a lot of people in the film. I hope we’ll see a version [with Grohl’s interview] sometime.»
