The night’s headliners, boozy Ohioan underground legends the Afghan Whigs, were a few songs into a tough and grizzled set when Greg Dulli started singing Usher’s “Climax” and, a few seconds later, Usher himself was onstage next to the man, singing. For the rest of the half-hour set, the Afghan Whigs served as Usher’s backing band, doing atmospheric and bluesy versions of his songs while Usher showed off a million-dollar falsetto, brought out Sinkane to perform Ahmed’s “Runnin,” and a rapturous, disbelieving crowd absolutely lost its mind. En un reciente concierto de Scott Weiland en Nueva York, el vocalista retó a un asistente al show a una pelea sobre el propio escenario. De acuerdo a Grunge Report, el ex-frontman de Stone Temple Pilots, le dedicó las siguientes palabras:
¿Así que tu eres el que me está haciendo el rollo ese de la pistola? Entonces ven y enfréntate a mi hombre a hombre. Vas de duro ahí detrás de la barrera. Me encantaría. (Mientras se dirige a un miembro de la seguridad) Si, ese tío. Confía en mi. Y no me olvido, tíos como tu malgastan el dinero. Es decir, dejadle que se quede y que se nos vaya la olla a todos. Esta noche no podrá dormir.

Scott Weiland challenged a fan to a fight at his show last night in New York at Irving Plaza. The fan had been heckling Weiland. Weiland called out the fan to come on stage
“So you’re fuckin’ pulling that fuckin’ like gun shit off on me? Then come up and meet me one on one man. You play tough guy from an audience behind a barricade. [talking to security guard regarding fighting him] I’d love to. Yeah, that guy. Trust me. And just don’t forget it guys like you fuckin’ waste your money. I mean, actually, let him stay here, and just get all fuckin’ riled up. He won’t be able to sleep tonight.”
