Hay una buena noticia para aquellos que no puedan visitar el archivo en persona. El 5 de mayo, The Feminist Press publicará un libro que recoge reproducciones de muchos de sus fanzines, carteles y otros materiales impresos. El libro está editado por Lisa Darms, que lanzó la colección (y también vivió en Olimpia a lo largo de la década de 1990). Se incluye un ensayo de Fateman, quien donó sus fanzines y escritos.

The Fales Collection at New York University’s Bobst Library houses the Riot Grrrl Collection, an archive of zines, journals, artwork, correspondences, and other documents from the movement spanning 1989-1996. It features contributions from Bikini Kill/Le Tigre’s Kathleen Hanna, Le Tigre’s Johanna Fateman, Bratmobile’s Molly Neuman, and more.
Now there’s good news for those unable to visit the archive in person. On May 5, The Feminist Press will publish a book collecting reproductions of many of its zines, posters, and other printed matter. The book is edited by Fales senior archivist Lisa Darms, who launched the collection (and also lived in Olympia throughout the 1990s). It includes an essay by Le Tigre’s Fateman, who donated her zines and writings.
That’s the cover, above, featuring Kathleen Hanna’s radical filing cabinet from the collection. (In 2010, Darms told me it was once used to hold up a van seat during a Bikini Kill tour.)
